The ATI 1827 is a class AB power amplifier that features 7 channels that can simultaneously deliver 200 watts at 8 ohms and 300 watts at 4 ohms. This is possible in part because of the two giant copper ring transformers.

In addition, high quality circuit boards made of double-sided fr-4 glass phase epoxy are used. These circuit boards can handle twice the power of a standard circuit board. ATI also uses an optical protection device on each amplification channel to protect the speakers and other electronics; if something is detected, the power to the channel will be immediately disconnected.
