Surround sound
SVS has equipped the Prime Elevation with various object-based surround sound technologies, including Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and Auro 3D. This gives you the opportunity to create a three-dimensional sound experience when combined with a 5.1,- 7.1 or extended speaker system. Thus, front-firing speakers at the front and side of your listening position provide the two-dimensional sound. Many conventional overhead speakers have a limited frequency response and reflect sound indirectly through the ceiling to your listening position. This by no means always results in the desired outcome because of the interior and other objects in your listening room. In contrast, the multifunctional Prime Elevation is definitely a speaker to create height effects and completes your sound experience with an excellent third dimension.

Sound Performance
Sound reflection through the ceiling is thus no longer necessary to create full-range home theater surround sound. The Prime Elevation features a midrange/bass woofer driver 115 millimeters in diameter with a propylene cone for excellent rigidity. The aluminum sealing ring reduces vibration and maintains high frequency response. In addition, the 25-millimeter aluminum tweeter dome handles the reproduction of the highs. The SVS Prime Elevation’s maximum output is 150 watts, with a nominal impedance of 8 ohms, sensitivity of 87dB and a frequency response between 55Hz and 25kHz (±3 dB).

Design
Many speakers feature organic round shapes or the familiar rectangular design. The versatility of the SVS Prime Elevation is due in part to its cleverly designed enclosure, the front of which slopes at a 30-degree angle. This unique geometry offers a number of options for hanging the speakers on the wall for down-firing sound, placing them on the floor for up-firing sound or laying them on their sides for front/side-firing sound. The enclosure is made of extra-thick MDF and features sturdy construction to prevent vibration and distortion in the sound.
